Brandi Thompson Woodhouse

Aaniin, my name Brandi Woodhouse I am an Anishiniaabe Ikwe from Pinaymootang First Nation I am 29yrs old. I work in the finance department at my hometown school for 4yrs, I am apart of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce youth leadership program for the year 2020-2021, I am an entrepreneur (RezGal Lashes) and I am an active volunteer in my community and in Winnipeg.

I grew up in the Northend from when I was 5yrs old. I had moved back and forth from my First Nation to Winnipeg’s Northend up until I was 19. I know about the struggles First Nation people face as I can say I lived through it and seen it firsthand I’ve faced many barriers, traumas and racism in my life but I have also overcame it.

I have some policing background and patrolled with Downtown Watch and BearClan Patrol a number of times in the past. These past few years I’ve dedicated my free time to helping my youth get involved in as many projects as I can and to push for FN youth to further their education.

I am always willing to lend a hand and to help clean up our city as best as we could. I strongly believe in integrity and honestly and I think someone that’s radiates those qualities should sit on the Bearclan Patrol board of directors whether it be me or someone else that would make a better fit in the position. Miigwetch, thank you for reading.
