Frank Parkes

Director

I began my career in the Canadian Armed Forces as an avionics technician and stayed in the aerospace sector for several years with Bristol Aerospace and Boeing Canada as a Production Manager on the 747 Program.

I have 25 years of management experience in a variety of sectors including working with Indigenous youth in Kenora, and the Finance Manager for Wauzhusk Onigum FN. I have worked in retail as the Director of Distribution for McDairmid Lumber and the General Manager of Neechi Commons in 2014.

I was proud to be selected as one of Winnipeg’s 50 most influential leaders by Leadership Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

My current role is with Red River College Indigenous Education and prior to this I was the Program Manager for the Community Reintegration Project with the Momentum Centre on Selkirk Ave.

I have served on several boards and committees over the years including the North End Biz Association, The Jubilee Fund, the Momentum Centre and most recently the Bear Clan Patrol. I am a proud north ender, a father and husband, musician and a member of Peguis First Nation.
