A business owner in Point Douglas and a Bear Clan volunteer, I have been walking for about a year now and have assisted with a number of initiatives including the Christmas clothing drive as well as providing logistics services for the organization.

After learning more about my Metis heritage with the passing of a loved one, I decided to direct my charitable involvement towards Indigenous focused organizations such as Willow Place and The Main Street Project. Shortline Moving, my company, has been donating moving services to these charities dating back to 2016. I used to complete these moves myself.

With experience scaling a business from scratch to over 60 employees (1/3 today being Indigenous), involvement in philanthropy and connections in the business sphere, I believe I can optimize and improve internal operations while fostering a stronger relationship between Bear Clan, potential donation suppliers, other non-profits, and most importantly, our community in need.
