It is with a heavy heart that we announce the temporary closure of the Bear Clan Food Security program located at 565 Selkirk Ave, effective immediately. “Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Bear Clan Patrol has had the distinct privilege of serving the community by ensuring access to essential food resources.” Says, Interim Chair and Treasurer Johnathan Drozdowski. “Through our hamper program and food pickup initiative, we have strived to provide sustenance to all residents in need. This closure is a hard hit to our community and we are devastated”.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we must temporarily suspend operations. This was a very difficult decision that was not taken lightly. We understand the importance of our community services and despite this setback our commitment remains unwavering. We are actively working to secure the necessary funding that will allow us to resume and sustain the successful operation of the Bear Clan Food Security program. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause to the community we hold dear. We understand the significance of reliable access to food resources, especially during these challenging times. Please know that we are dedicated to resolving this situation as swiftly as possible. We extend our sincere apologies to all community members who have come to rely on our services as well as to the staff affected by this unfortunate reality. The support and understanding shown to us throughout our journey has not gone unnoticed and we are grateful for unwavering commitment from our supporters.

During this interim period, we remain committed to exploring all avenues to secure the necessary resources to reinstate the Bear Clan Food Security program. We believe in the resilience of our community and are confident that with your support we will overcome this.
